Clare GAA Blitz in Ennis

Third and Fourth class had a great time at the hurling blitzes at the Fairgreen in Ennis on May 14th. The games were organised by Mark O’Donnell, Clare Games Development Co-ordinator. We met lots of pupils from schools around the Ennis region.

The aim of the day was to give every boy and girl in 3rd and 4th class the opportunity to play small-sided hurling games in a non-competitive and fun environment. Teams were picked at random so players were not playing on a school team, instead players from all schools made up a 7-a-side team. The focus was on skill development and enjoyment and it suited all levels of interest and ability. We had a great day and we made new friends too!
