We have drafted the New Students Council Constitution where each new member is aware of rules, procedures and expected behaviour.
The Council had their second fundraiser last May and raised nearly 500 euro. Children engaged in a Crazy Sock Day ! The Council funded the ice cream van as a treat for all the boys and girls, purchased some KNEX towards our STEAM initiative, and still have a little bit of money left over.
The Council meets once every 3 weeks to discuss all ideas submitted from each class for the agenda. The council are a voice for all students and take any ideas suggested to them seriously.
They are engaging in Learning Squads and more recently are learning about the process of making a clear informed decision.
Mr. Moloney also attends meetings from time to time when the council have ideas that they would like to discuss with him.
