Green Schools Winter and Spring Cleans
To prepare for Christmas, Fourth Class did a clean-up of the school yard just before the holidays. We were delighted when the annual Green Schools Spring Clean came around to get a chance to do some more litter picking. We collected litter in the Church yard and car park. Violetta, our German student teacher was there to help us for the Spring Clean.
We did a great job and when we were finished, we took a break at the Famine Memorial which reminded us about the very difficult lives of local people during the Great Famine. This visit also prepared us for our next class novel ‘Famine Secret at Drumshee’.
